Popularly known as KIST, was
established in 1973 by the community of Kiambu through Harambee basis (raising
funds through contributions of individual members of the community).
KIST is registered under The Ministry
of Higher Education, Science and Technology. Over the years, KIST has continued
to produce globally competitive graduates. Significantly, KIST has adequately
participated and outshone in National TIVET Trade Fairs, Robots Contests and
Trade Fairs.
The Vision of the Institution is ‘To
be a centre of excellence in Technical, Industrial, Vocational and
Entrepreneurship Training’.
