ACCES Kenya Scholarships Applications 2019

  • York University is currently Canada’s third-largest university and provides applicants with a wide variety of courses to choose from.
  • The International Entrance Scholarship was established to cater for international undergraduate applicants
  • Recipients of this scholarship are selected based on academic excellence, leadership qualities, exceptional community service and individual achievement.
  • Scholarships for international students amount to $35,000 per year for four years, totaling $140,000.


  • The flagship of ACCES (African Canadian Continuing Education Society) is the post-secondary scholarship program, designed for students who have just completed high school.
  • Bright Kenyan students from Busia, Bungoma, Kakamega and Vihiga counties are offered partial scholarships to pursue and complete their university education.
  • To qualify for this scholarship, one must be needy, bright, and have a record of satisfactory educational achievement.
  • An admission letter to a public college or university accredited by KNEC and CUE is also a prerequisite.
  • The scholarship donors give $50 per month or $600 per year to assist recipients with living expenses.

  • OFID (OPEC Fund for International Development) sponsors outstanding young students from developing countries who are facing challenges in financing their studies.
  • Applicants are required to obtain admission to a master’s program in a field related to development before applying for this scholarship.
  • This highly competitive scholarship applies to courses offered by any recognized university in the world.
  • The scholarship value amounts to US$50,000, comprising of tuition fees, a round-trip flight, health insurance, a relocation grant, and a monthly allowance.
  • This opportunity is only open to students from countries that are not OPEC member countries.


  • For almost three decades, Windle Trust International has formed scholarship partnerships with leading UK universities.
  • These scholarships target young people in developing countries who exhibit the potential to provide leadership and professional skills in their home countries within Africa.
  • Every year at least 20 scholars get an opportunity to pursue a one-year master’s course in the UK.

  • The Aga Khan Foundation scholarship program was set up with the primary aim of giving international students the opportunity to become productive scholars and effective leaders.
  • Every year, a limited number of postgraduate scholarships are given to outstanding students from developing countries who have no other means of financing their education.
  • The scholarships are given on a 50% grant, 50% loan basis.
  • Each scholarship covers tuition and living expenses only.
  • This scholarship covers tuition fees at any university in the world, provided that the course chosen is relevant to the Aga Khan Development Network’s focus areas.


  • The Slovak Republic’s National Scholarship Program is currently open to students from developing countries.
  • This scholarship gives international students from selected developing countries the opportunity to pursue full-time postgraduate studies at any public university in the Slovak Republic.
  • Benefits include a monthly stipend of €280 and a merit award of €50 monthly.
  • Recipients also receive a €35 stipend at the beginning of the course and €100 at the end of the course.

Kenyatta University Announces 100 Scholarships For The Academic Year 2014/2015

One of the Kenya's oldest Public Universities, Kenyatta University, has announced 100 new scholarship opportunities for needy and talented students for the academic year stating September 2014/2015. 

This is in line with the KU mission of enhancing access to higher education. A further 20 scholarships are available for Masters Students.

Management International Scholarships 2014 

We are pleased to offer Management Scholarships to Kenyan undergraduate students starting their studies in the Management School in September 2014.

The scholarships are worth £1,500 per year each.

Eligibility and Award Criteria:

•You must hold an offer of a study place and begin your undergraduate studies in September 2014 in the Management School.
•You must be self-funding and classified as overseas for tuition fee purposes.
•The scholarships will be awarded automatically - no application is required in first or subsequent years.
•The scholarships will be awarded unconditionally in the first year of studies. Award in subsequent years of study is subject to the achievement of 60% overall average mark.
•The scholarships will take the form of a tuition fee reduction.

Social Science International Scholarships 2014 

We are pleased to offer Social Science Scholarships to Kenyan undergraduate students starting their studies in September 2014 in any of the following departments: East Asian Studies, Economics, Education, Geography, Information School, Journalism, Politics, Sociological Studies, Town and Regional Planning.
The scholarships are worth £1,500 per year each.

Eligibility and Award Criteria:

•You must hold an offer of a study place and begin your undergraduate studies in September 2014 in any of the departments listed above.
•You must be self-funding and classified as overseas for tuition fee purposes.
•The scholarships will be awarded automatically - no application is required in first or subsequent years.
•The scholarships will be awarded unconditionally in the first year of studies. Award in subsequent years of study is subject to the achievement of 60% overall average mark.
•The scholarships will take the form of a tuition fee reduction.

Kenya Merit Undergraduate Scholarship 2014 (£7,000)
There is one Kenya Merit Undergraduate Scholarship available for Kenyan students starting their undergraduate degree studies in September 2014.

The scholarship is worth £7,000 of your undergraduate course tuition fee per year.

The scholarship is worth £7,000  for each year of study for all undergraduate programmes except Medicine and Dentistry. Students of Medicine or Dentistry will only receive the scholarship in the first two years of study.

To be eligible for the Kenya Merit Undergraduate Scholarship 2014 (£7,000), applicants must be a Kenyan national or permanently domiciled in Kenya, apply for a study place by Friday 18 April 2014 and hold an offer of a study place for entry in September 2014.

The Kenya Merit Undergraduate Scholarship 2014 (£7,000) is awarded on the basis of academic merit.

If you wish to be considered for this scholarship you need to apply. Eligible students will automatically be sent details of how to apply from January 2014 onwards.

Applicants cannot apply for the scholarship before being offered a study place at Sheffield.

The deadline for applications is Friday 25 April 2014; scholarship results will be announced Friday 30 May 2014.

The scholarships exist to support African nationals with a high-quality academic and professional background who would not be able to sudy at UCL without financial assistance.


The Scholarship is a one-off award for the academic year September-September to study at the UCL Institute for Global Health.

Candidates must meet the following criteria:
 
The candidate must be an African national and a permanent resident of an African  nation at the time of application.


The candidate must have made an application and been accepted to UCL to study for a full-time postgraduate programme at the Institute for Global Health for the coming academic year.
