The Co-operative Bank Foundation is
the Co-operative Bank’s Vehicle for social responsibility. The current flagship
project of the foundation is an education scholarship scheme for bright but
less fortunate children who face difficulty in paying their school fees for
secondary education. This scholarship program began with the form one class of
2007.
How to apply
for the scholarship.
The scholarship beneficiaries are
selected every year from the 47 counties in Kenya, and enjoy a full 4-year
secondary. In order to qualify, the below are required;
- Result slip
- Copy of birth certificate
- Form one admission, including fee structure
- A brief statement indication why the nominee/family is deemed needy and the Co-operative Society with which the parent(s) is/were associated
- Any other document i.e payslip, death certificate, reference letters, etc, which may assist the process.
Eligibility
Criteria
In order to qualify, students must
meet the below requirements.
- Students must have qualified with a minimum of 350 points in the standard eight final examinations.
- Student must be from a needy family that is unable to support secondary education
- At least one of the parents of the students must have been a member of a co-operative society
- Sponsorship is open to both public and private secondary schools.
